July 18 - And the gauntlet has been thrown (in a nice way). Heres a message from the victors of the Tight Around the Buoys Regatta . . .

Hello CIYC,

On behalf of LMYC and our ladies sail program I would like to thank you for the wonderful day yesterday. We had a fabulous time and the weather was perfect. Thank you very much for hosting the event a well as the fantastic BBQ. We are hoping this will become a yearly event and on behalf of the Lasalle's ladies program I would like to offer to sponsor the meal next year.

Thank you again for your hospitality and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Best regards,
LMYC WSA committee

Heather, Val, Jojo, Andrea and Kelly
July 17 - Sunday, July 16th IGSA-CIYC hosted the first annual challenge, hereby know as “Tight Around the Buoys" to the LMYC WSA Ladies.
Four boats from Lasalle challenged 5 CIYC boats on Lake Erie’s blue waters under sunny skies with plenty of wind. A tight race ensued as the ladies battled for victory. Lasalle just edged out a win, as the A team on Kyrre won in their start and overall. Bear’s Mistress did us proud coming in first in their start.
Supporters from both clubs cheered on the ladies from the CB and following boats from CIYC.
The race was followed by a delicious BBQ prepared by the indefatigable Social Director, Wendy Foote, and her helpers, Rachels 1 and 2, Lisa, Bob and Dennis. There were plenty of laughs, new friends were made and Lasalle has already responded with an offer to host the BBQ at CIYC next year!
Paul Cairoli whose brain child this was, presented the Trophy (refurbished by Walt Copper) to Heather Hartley and the Lasalle Ladies.
